Is the ‘family bed’ good or bad?

A middle of the night cry from the baby’s room has you shuffling through the dark to feed your newborn. You reach into the crib, drunk from exhaustion, and think, “Why not just bring him to bed with me?”

Yeah, why not?

Some people think that co-sleeping may create codependent kids while others think it makes the family a more solid unit. And how does having a little one sharing the marital bed factor into intimacy with your partner?
